Moon

Lonely-Moon

Through ebony seas
She rides resplendent
Erupting nebulae
Flexing
Convexing
Bowing in her wake
As she pulls lovers
Presses fighters
Lends her muse to wanderers
Who crave nothing more than someone to hear them
See them
Remember them
As they once were
Or
Better
Who they yet may be
Her veiled face
Refracting dissonance
In the clarified
Rarified
Webs of silver light
That through a never-ending night
Rush before her
In unbridled retreat
Come again with dreams
Lonely
Furious
And in her terrible dance
She reflects her lover’s face
Never to reach
To feel
To be
More than a pebble in the sky.
