Gravity

gravity

Some day gravity will die
The moon will break her bonds
Deserted beaches left haunted
Abandoned
Gaunt
And echoing the sun’s flaming
Dying
Symphony
A blood-red catastrophe
Of grandeur
Saturn’s rings shattering
Splattering
Stardust across the galaxies
The morning star will wink
Flutter
Stutter
Never again to awaken
The sandman will empty his glass
Spilling soulless grains into oblivion
But in the infinite obsidian
Lost meridians
I’ll dream again
Because I’ll never stop falling in love with you.

A Memory – short film

Last November I got to film in Charlotte with my friend Ashleigh Chavis. Ashleigh called me up and told me about her first short film, and I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of her project.

It was a treat being on the set for this film. She brought together a great team: I can’t say enough good things about the DP Brent Christy, my co-star Jena Moody was a trooper … some of those scenes look like spring, but she was running around barefoot in some serious cold, and Catherine Trail and Karen Abercrombie both brought relatable humanity to the story.

Bravo, Ashleigh.
